LGRCVB Speaker Series 

Strategic Meeting & Event Planning

WHEN: Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 8:30 - 10 a.m

WHERE: The Queensbury Hotel

DETAILS: This program will commence with a presentation regarding the topic of strategic planning for meetings and events. A Town Hall Q&A format will follow for partners and guests to inquire.

About the Speaker, Heidi S. Longton, CMP, CMM, DES
As a 33-year industry veteran, Heidi Longton has spent much of her career as an event professional where she is best known for her work in associations. During that time, she has served as a department head, director, team lead, and consultant and co-created M3 – Manage, Mentor, Motivate© - a curriculum designed for mid-level hotel managers. Heidi is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). She has been an engaged member of the local MPI chapter since 2004 serving as chapter president in 2015 and has been the recipient of three chapter awards. In 2019, MPI Global named Heidi as one of three members worldwide to be a founding core leader of its Association Professionals Advisory Board. As a result, she is a contributing author to Global’s blog. She is an MPI Certified Facilitator and Accredited Trainer, holds a Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) and the Certified Meeting Professionals (CMP) and Digital Event Strategist (DES) designations. Additionally, she holds a Level 3 Mastery Certificate in Event Design. She is a frequent facilitator, speaker, and panelist at industry events and has been adjunct faculty at area public and career colleges. Most recently, Encore Global appointed Heidi to their Customer Advisory Board.
